During our visit to Xerox Parc I was fascinated by the human-computer interface enhancements demonstrated by Polle Zellweger and Jock Mackinlay. I began to think about other similar enhancements that could be made to the current hypertext browsing technology on the world wide web. Inspired by the " Fluid Document" project at Xerox Parc, I began applying similar interface refinements to a text about people and their relationship to the year 2000.
